A box spring takes the weight of the bed and helps spread it out. It also helps your mattress last longer.

Look for a “platform” type of frame if you really don’t want a box spring.
You can still use the box spring with a platform frame, too if you like.

Here’s a twin frame on Amazon for $58.

I got this bed and I’m sure it can be disassembled again and fit into the back seat of a car. https://www.amazon.com/Zinus-Platform-Support-Mattress-Foundation/dp/B06ZXYFYND I’m still using my old mattress, but bed in a box are light enough to at least lift by yourself even if you can’t compact it much.

This is probably the table that I used as a desk for a while. The laminate is rubbing off of the edges, but I could probably peel it off and replace it with a painted finish. You’d probably need a fold-down seat to get it into a car. https://www.samsclub.com/p/alera-melamine-folding-table-4-x-2-ft-walnut/prod2140855?xid=plp_product_3

Instead of a proper couch, think outside of the box. I don’t know if foam chairs suit your purposes better, or if you could go with a giant beanbag style where you can stuff it with pillows and unstuff it on moving day.

Plastic dressers are lightweight and some designs are capable of combining multiple units to make them taller. Plastic shelving units are ugly but they can be moved easily.
