Hi there!
I just wanted to let you know that Automod has removed your comment because it contains an Amazon referral link, which we don’t allow in the sub.
Could you please edit the URL so that everything from (and including) “tag=” is removed? That way, the product page will still be visible – but no one can make a profit from the link. Here’s the referral-free URL for an easy copy & paste:
https://www.amazon.com/Zapzyt-LEPUSAPNAC13910-ZapZyt-Acne-Wash/dp/B00N8EZH8A/
If you’ve done that, please reply to this message so I can approve your comment. Thank you!

Hi everyone! Long time lurker here, and here is my B&A pictures! They are almost exactly two years apart at the same exact location. The only difference between these pictures is that I’m wearing sunscreen in the second one.
I had the AMAZING pleasure of dealing with eczema and acne at the same time so it took quite a while to figure out the right products for my skin type. (I dealt with my eczema first and then my acne)

Here is my routine:

AM
- Wash face with Zapzyt salicylic acid face wash– I don’t do this step to actually wash my face, I just treat my acne prone areas like my forehead, cheeks, and nose to allow salicylic acid to penetrate and do its job
- Tap off excess tap water on the face with a face towel, and spray with Avene thermal spring water (I get it at my local Walgreens)
- Apply Hadalabo Premium while face is still wet from Avene spray
- TO Niacinamide + Zinc
- Apply four pumps of Elta MD UV Elements Tinted Broad-Spectrum SPF 44

PM
- Double cleanse with KOSE SOFTYMO Speedy Cleansing Oil and then with Vanicream gentle facial cleanser
- Tap off excess water and spray with Avene
- Hadalabo Premium
- Apply SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream
- Differin after 5 min and Acne.org benzoyl peroxide after (I skip this step if my skin is feeling a little more sensitive)
The weekends are my off days from differin and BP so I use either TO mandelic acid or TO lactic acid during the night instead.
It’s important to note that I had to add things like the benzoyl peroxide and niacinamide slowly into my routine because it could be extremely irritating to the skin, especially while using differin

Some other changes I’ve made in the past year:
Exercising more often, drinking more water, switching my pillowcase every two days (using one side each night), getting rid of ALL products with fragrance, wearing sunscreen every day, taking zinc, omega 3 supplements and probiotics for the last 3 months.

EDIT: Also important to note that I completely stopped touching my face in public. I used to touch my face like crazy in the past (rubbing, scratching, picking; you name it) which most definitely played a big role in worsening my skin.

Sure you can! Here’s a link about the cleanser I am referring:

Hope this helps!

Try take a look at this! I’ve been using it for a couple months now and I love it. Dr. Dray also recommends it.

Salycilic is usually better for oily skin and from what I’m hearing, better tolerated than Glycolic Acid. AHA’s are usually touted as better for PIH (ensure you use a good strong SPF too)
Salycilic can also be effective in wash form.
Some recommendations:
Paula’s Choice BHA Leave on Exfoliants. There are also AHA (Glycolic) options available
The Ordinary SA. Also has an AHA option available
