I ordered this bike on prime day last fall and it’s held up really well. We use it with the peloton app and it’s been great! I owe any ounce of serotonin I had between Nov 2020-March 2021 to Cody Rigsby

spin bike

I use it with the Peleton app, free for the first month then $12/month. It has all kinds of choices for workouts, it’s awesome

The bike has been solid so far! My Spouse is the one who invested in it. I ended up changing out the screws where the legs attach to the stands. I’m about 170lb and they’re 135lbish, and we have used it for the past 6 months every other day and no issue. Mind you neither of us are cyclists, so mostly just for 20-60 min of cardio per use.

I don’t mind at all! This is the bike I got…

It’s surprisingly well-built for the price, especially considering the price of competitors. It took a few weeks for me to get used to the seat (it’s pretty intense since I hadn’t been riding in a long time) but I’m feeling better with it now. And even at a medium/brisk pace, I’ll have puddles of sweat around me after an hour break. I suggest getting a mat to put under it!

I normally recommend the Joroto X2, but I don’t think you need a flywheel that heavy. Also, magnetic resistance is a huge plus but if you’re planning on using it as a backup to running for io you don’t need it.

The Yosuda bike is a good cheaper alternative, but will still run you around $350 after tax. I’d replace the seat though.

I like spin bikes over stationary because they’re more honest. This one should also be able to accommodate your smaller frame pretty comfortably.

Does anyone have recs on budget spin bikes <$500? I’m considering the Echelon Sport and a magnetic Sunny or amazon Yosuda bike or joroto and wanted to check if anyone had experience or other recs of budget bikes – I’d like to use it with the Peloton app but am not too fussed about seeing cadence etc, more that it be able to last a year of use 🙂

Went on this hunt (again) yesterday because I don’t think I can stomach the cost of a C2 bikeerg. Can’t really speak to any of them quality wise but these are where I ended up after running a bunch of them through fakespot.com

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D528W98/ 35lb flywheel is nice.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BSBBZPJ/ same 35lb flywheel.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RHTDCT6/ 24lb flywheel.
