It comes with Mac and pc keys. I got the white caps with some set on amazon.

If you check my posts, the only other keycap set I have tried is the EPBT Sushi set, which is on the more expensive side. Besides that, Ive only used keycaps that come stock with a board.
I’ve also seen some people recommend this set as another basic affordable option:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GT1CKMC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_crYcGb6AC7G5G?psc=1
They have different colors and should be similar build to the matcha caps pictured above.

looks like tai hao rubber caps with cheap keycaps from amazon They should be similar but from a different manufacturer
·
I did! I think it’s just a generic Chinese keycapset from amazon, here is the link https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B07GT1CKMC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I’m sure you’ll find it elsewhere

This will not work. You will need to find keycaps at least 138-144 keys. For 1800 layout /96% like k4v2. The problem is to find 1u Zero in number pad, 1.75 shift, and R4 1u delete key.
This is another cheaper route. Legends are laser engraved, which tend to fade easily.

I’ve decided to go for these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/YMDK-Keyset-Profile-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B07GT1CKMC?th=1 as i couldn’t find any, thank you for help.

That’s weird with the submodule. If you cloned my repo sofle_foureight84, it should compile as shown in the guide. Don’t merge with upstream. There are changes that I will need to reconcile, I haven’t done so since there hasn’t been anything significant. Also, the keycaps can be found here. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GT1CKMC They’re nice and thick PBT and easy on the wallet.

First keyboard:
- havit kb366l, a $30 mech keeb with otemu blue switches
- keycaps: some kind of cheap gamer font keycaps
- One day it just started going wonky on me and I needed a new keyboard
Second keyboard:
- YMDK96, a $100 keyboard I had to solder the switches myself (this was before hotswap was accessible)
- Box Navies on the alphas | Box Jades on the modifiers | Box Royals on the numpad
- Keycaps: Went through a bunch, the old gamer gunk keycaps, cheap pbt pudding keycaps, ymdk thick pbt keycaps, ymdk DSA cat themed keycaps, npkc thick blank white keycaps
- If you’re looking for cheap thick keycaps, those blank white ones are killer, I still use them, they’re amazing. (at least until all the groupbuys I’ve entered for keycaps actually ship… 🙁 )
- Had an itch for a new keyboard after a while
Gateway drug keyboard:
- Lily58, had to solder every component on myself, troubleshoot the firmware, etc. etc. Lots of pain but very worth it.
- Roselios
- Those thick white blank keycaps, and a waffle artisan
- Split ortho is genuinely a gateway drug into getting more keyboards, none of which will be end-game, but you already know that.
- I’m now waiting on a Rama M50-A to ship, as well as a Pinky3, Elephant42, and a Lotus58

Any recommendation on keysets that are red, darkgrey, and light blue themed (think nintendo switch). Searching online I’ve found this https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07GT1CKMC/ however I was hoping the alpha keys be the dark grey and the modifiers be blue on one side and red on the other. Any help would be appreciated!

These should get you started! When you’re shopping for keycaps the biggest thing to look for is the 1.75u shift and the three 1u keys for the bottom row ctrl, fn1, fn2. If it is a full size set of 104, it will likely not work.
Keychron K2 PBT Keycaps (won’t be an exact fit unfortunately)

They’re cheap PBT keycaps from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GT1CKMC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Mine are actually a combination of 2 different colors of them though.

I’m using a combination of 2 of the same sets but in different colors. They’re cheap on Amazon though and they’re pretty much made for our boards 🙂

The white set comes with the blue Enter key but the tan set doesn’t. I’m using the tan alphas and all the rest from the white set. That’s how I have 2 ESC keys lol

Actually they’re a combination of both the white and tan color ones (I ended up with both because of impatience with Aliexpress where I originally ordered the tan set). They certainly have a texture to them. The laser engraved legends have a feel to them as well. If you’re into that, I recommend them despite their cheaper feel.
