Unfortunately I’m in Sweden, so it’s a bit far away :p

Yeah… I’m aware my current speakers aren’t amazing. They are… well, quite honestly, I had them already so they were free. I don’t have a boatload of money right now, and there aren’t a lot of audio-centric stores around (except one store, which sells SUPER EXPENSIVE audiophile stuff. It sounds good, but I could buy a car for the kind of money they sell stuff for.)

I was looking at a pair of Yamaha bookshelf speakers and a Yamaha center that one of my local electronics retailers has in stock, but I have no idea if they are good. Amazon reviews seem pretty good, but… yeah… I dunno? Also I’d have to wall-mount or raise my TV to fit a center under it since it only has a 7 cm clearance. Grump.

Yes I’m in Europe as i wrote in my original post. I have a couple hifi shops nearby, but their supply is very limited. The TT looks like this. The needle is integrated into the lid so it’s pretty unique. The guy who gave it to me said he spent ~2k$ on this setup when it was new.

I’ve been looking some more into speakers and found Yamaha NS-333 for 200$ in a local store. So if I upgrade my TT and my speakers it would cost me about five fiddy, which I am ready to cough up if it will work well.
