I got the XTERRA Fitness FB150 Folding Exercise Bike from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LYFWKMH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I read a bunch of reviews between several foldable bikes, and this one won out on being the quietest and sturdiest. For only $115, it has been a great investment. It was maybe 30 minutes to set up, and it fits nicely in the corner of my kitchen when I’m not using it.

XTERRA Fitness FB150 Folding Exercise Bike, Silver, 31.5L x 18W x 45.3H in. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LYFWKMH/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_RQTDV0YNVSW5PRK0PD09?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

This is the one I got. Assembly was easy, but the pieces are a bit awkward to maneuver. (You’re basically putting the feet on, screwing on the seat and handle bars, and attaching the pedals.) I was surprised at how nice and sturdy it feels, considering it’s under $150. There is a user weight limit of 225 lb, in case that’s an issue. I went with this one because the company that makes it also makes much more expensive equipment, so I took a chance that it wouldn’t be junk.

I enjoy it much more than I thought I would, partly because I tried doing one of those silly virtual marathons they advertise all over social media, lol. Funny, but it made it feel like I was accomplishing something (apparently getting healthy doesn’t count in my brain). I’ve earned two medals so far, and I’m working on my third now. Like I said, silly, but it made riding my little bike more fun.

I’ll have to check the next time I ride. I honestly don’t pay too much attention to the speed, I’m only looking at the time spent and what resistance I’m using. This bike is super basic and the built-in calculations aren’t all that accurate. It’s similar to this one.

I bought an exercise bike at the beginning of last year to do this exact thing. Works great, I play a couple matches of Halo and next thing I know it’s been 30 minutes.

This is the one I bought.

Can you do low impact like indoor cycling? My fiancé bought me one as an early Christmas present!! I’ve been consistently going on almost everyday – I’ve missed two days since getting it. Some days I cycle for an hour sometimes 30 minutes. I try to at least do ten miles a day. It’s wonderful because I can do it at any time of day anywhere in the apartment. It quite and compact AND CHEAP!!!!

>Living in flats is a large part of the reason I don’t exercise.

I’ve been the same way in my 2nd floor condo, but I’m trying to do better. Between this and a folding exercise bike (this one if anyone’s interested; assembly was largely a breeze) that’s damn-near silent, I feel like I’m getting myself to a good starting point.

Giant? They take up about as much room as a human body. They also make foldable stationary bikes if room is such a concern. If you don’t have room for an exercise bike then you have bigger problems.

It was something super super basic like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LYFWKMH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_tjVLFbYZVD21C

Use fakespot.com to analyze for fake reviews, but it’s usually more reliable than ebay. Also, depending on what gym you go to try calculating your total annual cost and consider investing that much (or less) in a treadmill.

I got this one on amazon I wanted something lightweight and inexpensive that could fold up

I have no idea how it’ll hold up but I’m just aiming to exercise a little each day

I have no idea how fancy you’re looking to get. I needed something cheap, quiet and small since I’m in an apartment. I got this off Amazon. And so far it’s ticked my boxes. No fancy bells or whistles, but it’s got decent enough resistance, was easy to put together, doesn’t take up a lot of space and is quiet!

I found a similar one for $110. I wonder what’s the difference https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LYFWKMH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_FTNN4X96QPX5F6SXS29K

io! I used a a stationary bike for 20-30 minutes a day. The linked one is nice because it folds up to fit in a broom closet.

I got this one, it takes up very minimal space folded up: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LYFWKMH

Just don’t get it if you’re tall, I’m 5’8″ and at the maximum height setting the seat is just about right for me.

I have this bike and I like it. My husband and I don’t use it super often (1-2 times a week), but it gets the job done.

I have what I hope is a simple question about screws, spacers and clamps/clips.

I recently bought this bike: https://www.amazon.com/XTERRA-Fitness-FB150-Folding-Exercise/dp/B01LYFWKMH/

My only issue with it is that I have long legs and my knees sometimes bump the handlebars. What I’ve done is remove the handlebar by removing the screws (#12 size) in this picture:
https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81pVCe%2BEraL._AC_SL1500_.jpg

Works decently, but I would still prefer to have the handlebar. The idea I have is to get screw spacers to help increase the height.

So my questions are if this is the intended use for spacers? Also, the longest spacers I’ve found for the screw size is 2 inches. This is better than nothing, but I would prefer longer lengths. Is this something that exists, and where can I buy them?

Finally, I also recently bought a standing desk and want to be able to use the bike under it under it while I work which will require the handlebar to be off. To avoid the hassle of screwing it on and off, I was wondering if there is some kind of clip or clamp that can replace a screw.

Thanks for any answers

Honestly that looks like a piece of chinese junk that offers very little benefit for fitness.

https://www.amazon.com/XTERRA-Fitness-FB150-Folding-Exercise/dp/B01LYFWKMH/ref=psdc_3407781_t3_B002KV383S this looks better

And finally, getting a real spin bike off of craiglist would be even better and you can do $200 and it’ll have an actual weighted wheel.
