So these are out of your price range, but they’re extremely close and I can’t not mention them. Wharfedale Lintons.
Those speakers are absolutely fantastic. If I were to do everything over, rather than buying loads of speakers, I would buy the Salks for my desk and the Wharfedales for my listening setup and be done. u/Aco2504 can probably comment on them too. They’re really great speakers.
