Scissors work, but they’re a little scary to use. Get a $10 beard trimmer and it will be so much better and more even.
This one is what I personally use. It also comes with a nose trimmer so you can get the hair inside your butthole

I use a cheap, battery-powered beard trimmer every few days to keep stubbly.
When I shave with a razor, I’ll put almond oil on my face after a warm shower. Two passes to get the skin baby smooth, one with and one against the grain.

I use an electric trimmer for my lady bits. It’s actually a lot better than using a razor because I tend to get awful razor burn and ingrown hairs. I can use the electric trimmer and get really close to my skin, but the stubble is smooth (not spiky like with a razor). This is similar to what I use.
I will warn you that it absolutely is possible to cut yourself with this, but I use the lowest blade guard and haven’t had problems. After I use the electric trimmer, I go over everything again with the eyebrow trimmer, which makes sure everything really is as close to the skin as possible. Afterwards, I clean everything with rubbing alcohol to keep it clean. I use a mirror, btw. And I sit over the toilet so all my coochie hair falls in there and I don’t have to clean anything up.

Yeah, I hear you with the scissors. I bought this off amazon a few months ago and it works like a charm.

A better option is to use clippers. I use battery powered beard and mustache trimmers. Like this www.amazon.com/Wahl-5537-1801-Cordless-Battery-Operated/dp/B0015KHMRS

I just use one of these without a guard to shave. Works well enough but then again my facial hair isn’t supr thick.
