they spun them off into an intuos pro line and they’ve still got the cintiqs going for top end stuff
wacom’s competitors have for the most part caught up to them when it comes to low-mid range stuff so these smaller intuos tablets are basically a way for them to cover their ass a bit on the entry level whilst still charging a bit more of a premium for the brand

Don’t go for anything but Wacom. And make sure that you don’t get one that’s too small, as those are annoying to draw on. Personally, I prefer the ones without a screen, for ergonomics (not having to look down from my computer screen) and because it’s what I’m used to.
I would choose the Large size Wacom Intuos Pro. It sells for $400 on Amazon right now.

I use clip studio paint as my art soft ware and it might not be as good as photo shop but its also only like a one time payment of 50 bucks. as for a tablet I’ve only uses screen less and I think it works fine. I have this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MTZ9CCD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 the large version and imo it might be a little to large. It barely fits on my desk. its got a bunch of hot keys and the pen is really nice. I started out with this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079HL9YSF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and its clearly not as nice its a lot smaller only has 4 hot keys and the pen isn’t the same but its like 80 bucks so u can get it and try it out pretty cheep and see what u think.
