You can currently get a CTL-471 on Amazon for only $3.40 over your budget, and it qualifies for Prime shipping, which is unusual since most of these ship from China. I personally don’t own one myself, but I do have a Wacom tablet (a CTL-480) and it’s really nice and quite durable. A friend of mine also has a CTL-470 and he seems to love it.
My personal experiences with Huion’s tablets are not good. They’re great for the money, but I had issues with mine when I owned one. The drivers are terrible in my opinion and it started developing serious damage after only 2-3 weeks of use (tablet started caving in slightly in my play area, affecting my aim). I dragged hard however when I had this thing, so if you hover or drag lightly you may not have the same issues if you end up buying an H420.
Wireless tablets are laggy, but I believe the 471 uses a Micro USB connection, so you could probably get a longer cable for quite cheap since they’re really damn common.
Hovering/dragging is all personal preference. It shouldn’t harm the tablet if you replace your nibs regularly (and, if you get the H420, if you don’t press down on the tablet hard as absolute hell).

>the thing costs 40 bucks, what do you expect?
I mean, an entry level Wacom One is roughly $70USD and you’ll get a better experience overall. I bought one of the original Wacom Bamboo tablets like 8 years ago for $65USD – and it still works with every computer I’ve ever plugged it into.

Just my two cents!

Wacom One/Ctl 471 or XP Pen G430. I would only buy the gaomon if you could afford the rechargeable pen as the pen that comes with the gaomon tablet is heavy.
