I’m going to make a tutorial soon, but I use a Bamboo Create tablet from a few years ago, and of course Photoshop. The canvas was around 1080x1920px and I used a 2px brush for the background sketch and a 3px one for the foreground sketch. I lowered the opacity of the background sketch so I could see where I hadn’t gone yet. For the colouring, I used a hard brush at around 30px for the small areas and 100px for the larger areas. I lowered the opacity of the colors layer to 40% so the colours didn’t get in the way, but it is much easier to simply put the colours layer behind the sketches.

I hope this answers your question, if it didn’t, just ask!

If you are looking for durability I would recommend getting a wacom tablet. My friend has a Wacom Bamboo Create which she seems to enjoy using. Unfortunately it is on the upper limit of your /slightly above your price range unless you go for a refurbished model.

I personally use a Huion tablet which seems pretty decent for its price so far. It seems slightly less durable than my old wacom but it works basically the same but it can be a pain to get the drivers to work initially. You can get a decently sized model for much cheaper than its wacom counterpart. Heres the Huion Tablet .

Whatever you go with I strongly recommend buying the biggest size you can afford.
