Yeah I’ve thought about getting a legit humidity and luminosity reader. I just have a Vick’s one that’s pretty good (for human use at least). Here it is on amazon.

Definitely a humidifier like this. It’s basically this thing that you fill with water and it emits steam as long as you keep it on.

When we turn the heat on, the air gets more dry and my wife gets really bad dry sinus/throat overnight, so having the humidifier on helps. It’s just a matter of running it in a better spot.

Yep, humidifier sounds like the solution. This is the one we got for LO’s room: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F8MJXMG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It’s been really good and its nice because it doesn’t have a separate filter that needs replacing. When the humidifier in my room finally dies, I will be getting another of this one.

Hey, I have those inkbird controllers. They’re pretty good. Couple of things tho:

Kinda hard to explain, but you have to use appliances with physical on/off switches. Otherwise it won’t work cuz the controller kills power to that appliance, and if you have to push an “on” button, like this one, after it receives power, then it won’t work as intended.

Check out a swamp cooler, or evaporative air conditioner. Uses water to cool. You gotta fill it, but if you’re handy, you can run a RO water line with a float valve to self fill. It’s gotta be an open basin, or top fill to do this tho. Otherwise, it’ll leak all over. The one linked has a continuous fill already set up. It also has physical on/off.

This is the one that I use: https://www.amazon.com/Vicks-Filter-Free-Ultrasonic-Humidifier-Moisturized/dp/B00F8MJXMG

It has a decent capacity so I’m not constantly refilling it. I use it in conjunction with this controller: https://www.amazon.com/Inkbird-IHC-200/dp/B089K8J81Q

1.2 gallon humidifier. No filters required. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F8MJXMG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Humidity Controller. You can adjust the % difference when it turns on/off if you want to keep it in a tighter range than 5%. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01J1E5LWM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Looking good!

Vicks model here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F8MJXMG

Just remember that humidifiers need to be cleaned regularly. Can be a pain, and they can get a little gross.

Oh geez that does stink I don’t like it above 70 😬. When I lived in New Mexico they do something different and use “swamp coolers” it’s like ac but instead uses water to cool the house. For me it never got cold enough so I bought a cold humidifier and set it by the bed. Basically cool water cloud will blow on you all night and it worked like a charm. You should try it I bet it will help! The vicks cooling one is the one I used.
