Irrespective of cost, for about the same size as the Motion+ the only speaker I’ve heard that’s better sounding is the UE Megablast (NOT the megaboom) It’s also a perfect shower speaker being easy to hang and waterproof. It’s not as loud and does have it’s own problems. There’s no perfect speaker otherwise all the others would be out of business.
But again, try them out. If you waste all your time trying to find THE BEST option you’ll never get anywhere.

There aren’t a ton of options, for it’s size this $238 UE Megablast or $130 refurbished sound really good, but i personally don’t think they’re loud enough, also, it only works with Alexa which is a deal breaker for me.
I was blown away by how good this $300 Audio Pro Addon C3 sounds, may be a good option.

The smart speakers do 99% of everything over the internet.i wouldn’t worry too much about either of these.
I dont have strong feelings about either of these, but id suggest adding these two to your list because i think the audio quality is important.

I got an Ultimate Ears Megablast for my Hot Tub. Best investment ever! WiFi, Bluetooth, Water*proof* (its rated for complete submersion for an hour and a half!) and even has Alexa built in! It gets VERY loud if necessary and the battery lasts 12+ hours. It’s on the high end ($179 at Amazon) but worth every penny and certainly not nearly as much as $1450!! Later you can sync multiple units if you like.
