can never have enough desk space if you do music and arent just using plugins…one thing ive found that can help a bit though is to get a small bluetooth or wireless keyboard, and also a wireless trackball, so you can put your keyboard wherever is convenient and move it around easily and the trackball you can do the same with and it doesn’t need a mousing surface, and it’s so much quicker and precise than a laptop trackpad
also if you can find a desk with a wide enough keyboard tray for a 37 or 49key midi controller… that would be ideal (z-line designs cyrus is wide enough tray and also an upper shelf is ideal for studio monitors beside your main display or fits 2 displays well) i dont have such a desk but only because it wont actually fit through my door without disassembly… an L desk wouldnt either but atleast that would be simple to just disconnect the one side, and it’s more surface area anyways
