1) so you don’t recommend the vivo style ( straight arm ) ? You recommend the other style right, much more flexibility in movement and angles

2) I may not be able to go clamp style, I have a metal reinforced lip under the edge of the desk wood to help with the base that may get in the way with the clamp, not sure. If I can use the edge clamp style, I’ll reinforce the table with extra wood before clamping.

I was just curious if the more perminant mounting method was much better and worth it over the clamps, but with the clamp versatility and value I think it’ll be a better fit. The table thickness is about 1 inch, seems solid, especially with the reinforced metal underneath the edges ( wish it wasn’t there tho )
