I agree with the overall sentiment, that paralysis by analysis and worrying about perfection are the enemy. After inconsistent adherence and gains after going to the gym off and on for years, I stuck to a basic but consistent calisthenics routine for the last year+ and am the best shape I’ve been in for a while.
But I don’t really agree with “forget about (nutrition),” and I think saying “biceps are easy to grow” can lead to the kind of pressure and anxiety you describe in your post.
I’d recommend a simple but more full body routine, like the exercises described in The Simple Six https://www.amazon.com/Simple-Six-Easy-Shape-Stay/dp/1791509401 or other minimalist routines.
