So weird, didn’t realize they made changes to it. I knew I could have sworn this thing didn’t shut off for 100 minutes. See the link below. Seem like the US version you can get on Amazon is still doing 100 minutes. I think the newer Select version has cut that down because, honestly, after 40 minutes on a hot plate, the coffee flavor is affected by the hot plate. There might be other features added/changed in the Select version( now I need to go read up on it haha) but if you want the 100 minutes, Amazon still has it.

I hear you, and I faced the same conundrum earlier this year. I looked at this one, since it easily brews half a carafe — which is 700ml of brewed coffee, if my math is correct. Any of the moccamasters will brew a partial batch, if that’s all the water you put in. You might have to adjust the recipe from the full carafe, but all of them ::should:: do it.
My solution was to get the cup-one to use every day for myself, and I have a 32oz french press and a 8-cup Chemex for when I have to make coffee for a group (as well as a v60, moka pot, and other options). Since it was more important to me to have the push-button option every day for myself, I figured I’d get the one designed/timed for “one” cup.

To anyone looking to spend a few hundred on someone who enjoys food science or just fancy kitchen gadgets I own both of these and LOVE them:
Technivorm Moccamaster coffee maker. Silver color will drop to like $270 for BF likely. The best drip coffee money can buy. 5 year warranty but will likely last a lifetime. One of those “buy it for life” items. Spend $15 on a wifi outlet and it is also programmable/smart.
Breville Tea Maker. I found mine for $125 at Marshals last month, YMMV. Honestly worth full price though. Making tea becomes so easy and fun. I set it up before a shower and come out to perfectly brewed tea every time.
