Ok thanks, I think I can still manage with this but my goal was to output to 4 separate audio tracks in my DAW (on for each mic) so I could clean up each one in post if necessary.

Would the “Tascam US-4×4 USB Audio/MIDI Interface” do what I was hoping to achieve here and record each mic to it’s own audio track in the DAW?

Here is a link to it on amazon:

Hey guys. Quick question.
I have a pair of JBL LSR305’s, and I just bought an audio interface (this one to be exact) as I am starting a podcast. I’m curious as to what I will need to connect my monitors to the interface and how I would go about adding a subwoofer to the system. I listen to a lot of music and would like the interface to act as a “catch-all” for both my podcasting and music listening.
Any help would be appreciated, as you can tell I am still learning to set these kind of things up.

I have a Tascam US 4×4 that I picked up from Amazon, used, for just under $200. I really like it, the only issue I have with it is that if it goes into sleep mode when the computer does it won’t wake up with the computer and needs to be plugged back in. I fixed this problem by disabling sleep mode on the device (in the settings app that comes with it) and now I have no problems at all.

They are $279 normally https://www.amazon.ca/TASCAM-US-4×4-USB-Audio-Interface/dp/B00MIXF1JW/ so perhaps I would look around for a deal or wait around for an open box return like mine.

It is not possible what you are asking unfortunately. As far as the equipment; it depends on what you are trying to do. If you’re trying to up your production with eq, compression and have inputs in separate channels, i would suggest something like this Tascam US 4×4

But if your just looking to record 4 channels at a time but not do a lot of pos production but have a lot of control during recording i would suggest this Yamaha MG 10. The MG 10 sends out a stereo signal to your recording software.

In my opinion, an interface is better suited for your needs. If you all want to monitor the show, you’ll need a headphone amp. My links below aren’t necessarily recommendations, but seem to be decently rated/priced.
