You could look into a corner desk for one of the corners. I had the same issue in my 1 BR apartment and decided to get this desk from Amazon and placed it in a corner of my living room so it didn’t take up too much space. If I ever needed to make it not look like a desk/make the room look more formal, I’d take away my laptop and put a couple of decorative pieces on it.
