I have a Sunny belt drive bike. It works great and this is the best price I’ve seen on it. You will need a separate cadence monitor and you’re going totally by feel on resistance, but honestly this isn’t insurmountable. Honestly in some ways it’s better bc if I’m having an “off” day I’m not beating myself up for not hitting the calls.

We also replaced the cages with Shimano SPD pedals. Highly recommend clip-ins if you can swing it.

I also went with a cheaper bike and just prop my iPad on it with the peloton app. I got this one from amazon and I’ve had it for about a week now. My only complaint was how heavy the packaging was – it took two people to get it into the house, there was no way I could have done it if I lived alone. That said, it arrived within a week and if it says out of stock, it normally restocks within a day or two. It was easy to put together and has been great so far for the price. It does not have a screen to tell you your speed or resistance like a peloton would, but I just use my apple watch to monitor my heart rate and try to stay on beat. If I consistently use it for a year, I may upgrade to the peloton eventually.

Preface: I don’t know shit about bikes except for the one I have.

I picked up this Sunny Spin Bike a few months ago, and am absolutely in love with it for cardio days. This was my first time doing spin ever. The whole thing is really sturdy, the resistance works great (no numbers though, so it’s just a ‘feel’ thing as for how much resistance you add/take away) and in general it’s been an absolutely perfect purchase!

I bought mine for $70, so the price helped, but even at the $300ish mark it would be worth it.

I had a sunny cycle spin bike and it was whisper quiet.
