~~All good! In all honesty, I only own one pair of BT headphones (VERY picky), and it’s the Sony XM4’s, which are excellent. Given your price requirement, even the Sony XM3’s are excellent, and can be found for right around $200 (give or take). They’re so insanely comfortable and light, you almost get to the point of feeling like you’re not even wearing them. The noise cancelling is great, and even the sound is really quite good.~~
~~If you can find a deal on the XM4’s though, they have some added features, including the latest BT standard, and the ability to switch between two devices at once automatically. I’m not one for Sony headphones, as Senny’s have become my fave, but Sony does BT exceptionally well, and are pretty much as good as it gets. If noise cancelling is mostly not needed, try looking at some of the lesser models just below these.~~
Forget everything I just said! lol. I just remembered the headphones I got for my parents (got each a pair), and these puppies are phenomenal. My parents are bass heads, and these MORE than satisfy that need. Check ’em out. The only downside I’ve seen is that they do have hard plastic hinges, etc. that are prone to cracking or breaking, but take care of them, and this’ll probably become one of your favorite pairs of headphones. Can’t comment much on the mic, as my parents don’t really use it, but it does have ’em. These fall right into your price range, and I think you’d be quite happy with ’em.

I actually have a pair of Sony MDR-V6s and the only thing that fell apart was the original ear pads. I just use a bluetooth adapter on my personal pair since I cable modded them and soldered a female 3.5mm headphone jack. But as for your recommendation I would go with these on Amazon

I got these Sony XB950 cans “Certified Refurbished” for $80 (normally like $200) and I would have happily paid $200. They kick major ass. Got them Christmas of 2015, used them every single day for hours on commutes to and from university and work, in blizzard conditions, and they always just work. Super loud. Bass is nice bit not too stuffy. Media controls on ear. They may not be audiophile levels of sound quality, but for wireless cans they are extremely pleasing and comfortable for long durations at that.
Edit: looks like about $130 new now

Well, I was thinking about over ear headphones like these to be precise.
Not a big fan of BT earbuds, since they often do not have 3.5mm plugs in case when the battery runs out, while bigger headphones still have ports.
·
lookin for recommendations on some bluetooth headphones since min just broke. not earbuds though, they always end up killing my ears
I kinda want some of the sony ones, but looking at amazon reviews it seems they are liable to break easily where the ear phone piece connects to the head rest piece – like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N5UVZBP?ref=emc_b_5_t

My current headphones are Thinksound ms01’s and Skullcandy Aviators. My Aviators are extremely old now (well over 5 years old) and the faux leather on the earpieces has been falling off for ages now.
I’m thinking of picking up a new pair of headphones that would preferably be wireless and over/on-ear. I know that wireless headphones are generally overpriced, but I think the convenience factor is too alluring nowadays — with how mobile my lifestyle is, it’s really annoying to have a wire dangling around anytime I want to listen to music when I’m walking or otherwise traveling.
I saw that the Sony XB950B1 are on sale for $98 for Amazon’s Prime Day (link) and was considering those, but the “Extra Bass” moniker doesn’t give me a lot of confidence that these have quality sound.
I’m looking to not pay much more than $200 ($300 is my absolute upper limit for a pair of cans), and for a headphone that has preferably a neutral/balanced sound signature (although a bit warm/bassy is fine too since I’m not all that discerning) and is wireless. Any ideas? Thanks!
EDIT: Also, if you have any recommendations for non-wireless headphones feel free to shoot those my way as well.

These Sony XB950B1 seem like a pretty good deal for $100

They’re not neutral by any means and they even come with a bass boost button. They whr my shit in high school, it was almost a party trick with how much bass they produces, literally enough to shake the headphones themselves lol.

There no reason to not look at Sony. I have tried every brand and Sony dont disappoint. If you want to really upgrade just be with Sony or Parrot Zik.
Hope this helps.

Could someone suggest me a pair of headphones that are either Bluetooth or wired (or even both together) that is available on amazon for under 90 – 100 usd?
Currently looking at this https://www.amazon.com/Sony-XB950B1-Wireless-Headphones-Control/dp/B01N5UVZBP/ref=sr_1_8?rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1504273074&sr=8-8&keywords=sony+bluetooth+headphones&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011

Budget: $200
Source: iPod/PC
Isolation: I definitely want some isolation because I intend to use these on the bus/public transport, but it doesn’t have to be absolute.
Type: Over ear is preferred
Tonal Balance: I like a bit more bass
Past Headphones: Cheap Panasonic/Sony earbuds
Preferred Music: Mostly metal, rock, and alternative rock
Additional: I’m thinking of going for Bluetooth/wireless
Some options I was considering are the Sony XB950B1, Sennheiser HD 598 Cs, and Sennheiser Urbanite XL.
Thanks!

I am not an audiophile but I do own a lot of inexpensive headphones because I love them! Based on what you’ve described, and even though it’s a little out of your prices range, I’d recommend the Sony MDRXB950B1.

They cost about $128 dollars new right now but I’ve seen them go on sale for under $100. (And you can get refurbs for a lot less.)
I’ve got a set of the ATH-M50X and I really like them but they really don’t have enough bass for a lot of music. They sounds great but they aren’t fun.
Sony makes some really good headphones that are also a lot of fun. These MDRXB950B1 will probably be my next purchase. I want a set that’s good for bassy music. My favorite headphones that I own right now are my first gen MDR-1000X. I want the new version but I can’t justify spending the money on them.
