Bass is enjoyable, though plenty of headphones can do it. Especially adding EQ. I’d consider these which can be under $200 used. But if your heart is set on the headphones you found, definitely don’t search to much for this sub’s approval! Get what sounds good to you and don’t worry too much about it.

Gotcha. Yeah, they might work for you but it’s going to be a coin toss for power and reliability. $60 for wireless and noise cancelling is extremely cheap. Corners absolutely are getting cut in one way or another, be it in build quality, noise cancelling effectiveness, or sound quality.
But it depends on the quality you want and what your budget is. If you have $200, I can’t recommend these enough. They sound incredible, super comfortable, reliable, and quite literally the best noise cancelling headphones you can buy. They can block out nearly all the noise from an airplane engine in the cabin, and once you turn on the music you can’t hear it at all, essentially.

It doesn’t necessarily cancel out everything; I’m shit at explaining so just read an article. If you consider getting one I recommend this because it’s what I personally use. It’s kinda of pricy but it’s worth it.

Honestly, slightly above your budget at $235 but it’s a great time to pick up some Sony WH..3‘s since the 4 is coming out next week. I wear these while I work for hours at a time and think they’re super comfy.

I haven’t used the Sony XB950B1 but these are most definitely portable (can fold up, easy to transport) and can be either wired or wireless (plus noise canceling). They sound decent, and the app also has an EQ so you can configure it to your tastes. Sony headphones typically have a bit of a bass heavy sound anyway so it might fit your bill right out of the box.

Hey Mom! : P I Have the Sony WH-1000 XM3 Noise Canceling and they are Outstanding, you’ll find plenty of reviews that say that they are the King of ANC, you’ll feel like you’re inside a sarcophagus or under water, they block a lot of noises except dogs barking.

Okay, that works out. The DT 990 (Pro) is actually a V shaped sound so while these won’t sound as good as her studio headphones, they should be close enough.
I found another option that may appeal to her, which are the Sony WH-1000XM3. It is $10 over budget but may offer better ANC and give LDAC functionality (so she might like this one even more than the other for lossless files).

Local stores tend to have both of them so you should be able to try them out before making any decision. Both headphones are V shaped (so they are similar to her headphones) but with a slightly different tuning. It’s always best to have more than one option, after all.

The Jabra’s do an okay job with sound separation. Yet, they’re clearly a level below the big boys.
If you live near a Best Buy i would suggest trying out both the Sony and Bose there (otherwise, I think Target and Walmart have setups too).
With that said I liked the Jabra’s and they’re an absolute steal at $150. If they’re comfortable to you, I’m not sure I could justify spending money you may not have on audio gear that won’t deliver much more. I’d like to add you should consider trying the mod-range Sony cans at best buy too. I don’t have much experience with them but they frequently go for $100.

So basically if I was in your shoes I would try the mid range Sony and then consider how happy you are with the 85h. My main issue was comfort and I happen to be a bit of a Bose fan boy. Most people would take Sony from a logical perspective as Bose has fallen behind ever so slightly and definitely with codes in sound quality.

The Sony WH1000s are considered some of the best noise cancelling headphones, but I have never actually used them. I have Bose wired noise cancelling headphones that I absolutely love for traveling. They have wireless ones too.
