Depends on the sleep mask. I’ve had really crappy ones & I’ve had great ones. I love this one. It blocks out all the light and conforms to your face with no light leaks. Plus the eyes are rounded so your eyelashes don’t touch the mask.

Amazon has a great sleep mask that will cover both eyes. It has space over the eyes so you can still blink of open your eyes without your eyelashes dragging. Does not apply pressure though, and like I said it will cover both eyes.

Bedtime Bliss is my mask. It’s domed so nothing is actually pressing against my eyes, which would make my migraine worse, and it’s contoured so no light gets in. I can actually have my eyes open when I wear it and just see total darkness.

I use a sleep mask when I’m trying to sleep while it’s still light out… this one is great. And I find my fitbit super helpful with sleep, and also in general. The calorie out counter is pretty accurate for me, and I find it motivating. Worth every penny, in my opinion. Good luck!

I actually really like this sleep mask on Amazon. It is contoured for your eyes and nose and it’s lightweight and comfortable. The earplugs are a nice plus too. (I’ve been an insomniac for many years.)

You can try a sleeping mask, it is a lot cheaper than curtains and works probably better, it is less comfortable, but not very uncomfortable in my opinion. If you buy a sleeping maks, make sure you get a 3d model, and not a flat one, so there is room for your eyes and your eyelids don’t touch the fabric, these will be much more comfortable. The Coop sells ear plugs near the lab coats section. CVS also sells them.

This is a really good eyemask that also comes with a really good earplug.
This is good to have in general if you go to loud concerts or areas with lots of noise. You will be able to still hear, just softer.
I own both.
