I’m a light sleeper and a bit of a night owl, and my GF wakes up at 6 A.M. to go to work, I use earplugs (HappyEars) and a sleeping mask (Amazon UK). It’s fairly easy to get used to and has improved my sleeping by a lot. Separate work rooms sounds like a good idea for you guys, though. We also use separate rooms to avoid intruding on each other’s personal space when needed, and it works.
