according to my physical therapist for my neck/back issues, get one with a higher indentation in the neck to support that area like this one

I highly recommend this memory foam pillow – never had a problem with it sleeping hot. It does a superb job of supporting my head and neck. Only downside is that it’s quite hard when cold, but softens up as you lay on it.
