It is! My brother recommended the series to me, and I’ve gotten through the first two books in about two weeks or so. Good series!

As for the headphones, I just hammered in a nail and hung them on there. It’s not padded on the headband part, so there’s really no indent to be had.

They’re Skullcandy Hesh 2’s, and they’ve served me well.

it looks like the cord is integrated rather than a male to male , is this true? if so It wouldn’t be for me since I find the cord is the part that breaks easiest and I love being able to replace just a cord rather than the whole thing on my skullcandy hesh.

Skullcandy’s not bad if you can find them on sale. I got a “Hesh 2” set on sale and they’re really comfortable (and pretty sturdy). My bass rig sounds good through them.

Note: you can also find some NBA-branded sets that are even cheaper. I assume they’re basically the same, but uglier.

Just how terrible are these? I got them for free a year ago, i mean they sound fine, but then again, i’m coming from 3$ earbuds. Am I really missing out on anything? Is it sort of like the mechanical – regular keyboard debate? Sorry i’m so ignorant, I don’t focus on audio that much, as long as i can hear videos fine, the headphones are good.

Hello, I am looking for a pair of headphones for under £30 GBP. Their main use will be for music, videos and gaming.

I have been looking at the Skull Candy Hesh. These are about £27 and look reasonable from what I can tell.

The Seconded Pair I have been looking at is the Panasonic Retro, these also look quite reasonable, but the wire could be a tad short for my desktop PC.

Budget – Under £30.

Source – My desktop PC.

Preferred Type of Headphone – Over ear, closed.

Location – England.

I agree with most of the advice that the others are giving, but cheap Skullcandy headphones will do fine if you really do feel your mixes are struggling that much. A pair of Hesh 2.0’s helped me for awhile until I could afford an upgrade and they’re only about $50 or so. Best of luck!

I would recommend Skullcandy Hesh 2.0s. They have a replaceable cord, if that’s what caused your other headphones to break.
