I have two over-ear headphones that I use constantly that both coincidentally have removable aux cables.
I’ve had my Skullcandy Heshes for 2.5 years now. The aux cable is removable, so when it croaked last year I bought a generic new one for $8. Work great still and are comfy.
My Steelsteries headset came with a 6+ft. extension cable which is AWESOME. The only downside is the cord is a headphone jack + a mic jack, so twice as much cord.
They are both <$60. Not an expert in judging sound quality, but I am definitely happy with ’em (the Heshes are my favorite).
