So due to my bad posture for the last 7 years on the same chair, I need to force my muscles to adapt and get used to good posture with this lumbar support even if it is uncomfortable and painful for the first week or so? https://www.amazon.co.uk/SIHOO-Ergonomics-Adjustable-Headrests-Computer/dp/B07GNDDNMW/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
This is my chair

Hvorfor købe Aeron, når man kan få andre brands i samme kvalitet, dog til billiger penge?

Et godt og billigere alternativ er en Sihoo som kan købes på Amazon.

you have to buy the mesh ones with adjustable lumbar support. Something like this

I think the main issue was the “lumbar support”, which was just a hard piece of plastic digging into my back, not cushioned very well. The arm rests didn’t go low enough, but even with the arm rests and the back of the chair taken off, the seat just seems to dip too deeply. I’m not sure how exactly to describe this issue, but this was the chair I was using… https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07GNDDNMW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Yes, I’m using this desk for a computer setup, though I’d also plan on using it for writing as well. I ordered a second hand Herman Miller Aeron which will be arriving tomorrow, so I should be okay.

I’m curious to hear what other people say about this. I’m a recently diagnosed software developer, and I struggle with this too. So far I’ve focused most on posture and arm / wrist support since my hands aren’t terrible with treatment. I use this office chair with extra padding on the arm wrest. With a special lower platform for my keyboard / mouse I don’t need to move my hand much to use the mouse. That has helped a lot but on days when my fingers hurt it is still a problem because the clicking motion is difficult. I’ve looked into the ‘joystick’ mice but that seems even worse because the gripping motion is more painful for me. I use the Logitech MX Master but I wouldn’t say its great. I haven’t found a keyboard I can actually recommend yet.

I dont sweat that much, plus if i do sweat i have a robe on

I was looking at a chair https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07GNDDNMW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and chairs that are very similar to https://www.amazon.co.uk/AMINITURE-Computer-Adjustable-Reclining-Adjustment/dp/B08MW73RLD/ref=sr_1_11?dchild=1&keywords=chair+gaming&qid=1609035397&s=kitchen&sr=1-11

I just feel like the padded chair would feel more comfortable than mesh no?

Hello. I’m looking for decent chair on a budget to work at home (~8h). Right now I’m tempted to buy a SIHOO M18, seems very adjustable, the price is around 200€ and got good reviews on amazon. I also really like the Myochair from Autonomous but its more expensive (close to 300 €). Do you think the SIHOO is a good deal for its price? The used market for ergonomic chairs in Portugal (Europe) is almost nonexistent. It’s my first time buying a ergonomic chair, so still a bit clueless. Thank you!

I bought this one about a month back really happy with it so far. I like that the head rest extends out farther than many.

Hey! So I’m looking for a new chair that fulfils the role of working long days sat down at my desk as well as using for casual gaming on an evening.

I’ve been sceptical of the SIHOO chairs because it’s hard to tell what quality they truly are from just images, and your account of the chair is the first one I’ve come across that has given some proper insight.

I’m unsure whether to pick up the SIHOO M18: (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07GNDDNMW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_0Lr7EbTJMWNTR)

Or the SIHOO M57: (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07GN4H96T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_KMr7EbXRFKGF1)

I noticed in your notes you didn’t mention the M18 and I’m just curious as to why it has been omitted? The price difference is about £60 between the two on amazon, which if be happy to pay if you believe the build quality is worth it.

Also, the M18 uses a fabric padded seat vs. the M57 which uses mesh. Would you say that the mesh is definitely sturdy? Like you stated, I’m worried that over time it will sag and cause me to hit the framing underneath whereas the cushioned seat of the M18 may hold up better?

Sorry for the tons of questions and thanks in advance for any response!!

Looks similar to this model, though it probably isn’t the exact same model:
