I got the gray with the blue seat. I too was deciding between the 3 colors (I like the blue seat the best, gray had a $35 coupon, and black was dark and went better with my office set up). Decided blue was a good compromise. To help with preventing stains I might apply some scotchguard and see if that’ll help. But it is a fairly dark blue, almost a navy.

My seat cushion as far as I can tell, is brand new, and definitely isn’t flat. I will admit though that my biggest fear with this chair is that in a few years the cushion may become flat. I’m not sure how well it’ll hold up, and I haven’t seen long-term reviews, but I rolled the dice on this anyways. But as of now it feels great for me.

I purchased this one and it is phenomenal, got the headrest too. Would recommend
