Sennheiser and Sony has dominated the RF market for over two decades now. They really do produce the best ones.

Going RF instead of Bluetooth limits your source options, but you get less latency (sennheiser claims their RF headphones are around 1ms of latency) and a much longer range that isn’t impaired by things like walls.

The concern is interference and I have heard that cheap RF headphones have a slight buzz and are particularly sensitive in apartment complexes, or when there are things like wireless phones / microwaves being used.

These are the headphones I would recommend, and even though they are $370 right now they are on sale from $450.

Sennheiser’s RS-series is pretty unbeatable when it comes to wireless entertainment headphones.

The RS195 is a great closed back variant that will not disturb anyone else in the same room. Just browse the closed RS variants and pick one that fits your budget.

I have the Sennheiser wireless RS 180 headphones which I paid $250 for and they sound pretty good. I don’t really care about noise cancellation, though (and these don’t have it). The replacement model appears to be these

I’ve never heard any audio quality enthusiast say anything good about Beats. but admit that I haven’t tried them myself.
