I am 100% deaf in one ear now but before I went totally deaf in one ear I was using a headphone that allowed you to balance the volume for each ear.

These are marketed for TV hearing (I don’t know what makes them designated as TV headphones vs music headphones- think it is because of the long cable length) but they have a Left and Right volume adjusting.

So you would listen to the left volume at 20% higher to compensate for the loss.

PS: I misread your post as looking for headphone advice of a permanent condition. I will leave this up in case it helps people looking for advice on headphone use with similar hearing conditions. I hope they diagnose what caused your hearing loss and I hope you have a speedy recovery.
