Sennheiser HD 560s
I am guessing you will only be using the headphones at home, because both of these headphones are open-back, which means they leak sound, and they do not block sound from outside. You don’t really need an amp for these headphones.

Something close to the ER2SR would be the Sennheiser HD560S

It will work well with your phone. The DT 880 250 ohm would also be similar, but definitely would need a headphone amp.

If you want to try an open headphone, the Sennheiser HD560S. Fairly neutral overall with a little treble emphasis. Easy to drive. Has a very good sound stage and imaging for gaming. And Amazon has it with free returns coming which means free return shipping if you don’t like it

Like right now.

>I don’t want too much bass and would like something comfy (lightweight), also don’t want to use amp.
Sennheiser HD560S could be a good choice for you

- Are you only using them at home? If so, then it will be better for you to get wired headphones because audio quality is better when wired.
- Do you want over ear headphones, or in ear earbuds?
If you want over ear headphones, and if you main use case is only at home, I suggest you look at open back headphones. Open back means that the headphones have open earcups on the sides, which lets for a more natural sound of the headphones. The downside to open back is that they bleed (a lot), so others can hear what you’re listening to, and also outside noise are not blocked. They are not the best headphones for outside, but they’re the best (usually) for sound quality. Currently, the Sennheiser HD560s are on sale for $150 on Amazon, and they’re a really good open back headphone.
If you want over ear headphones but not open back, then you should look at closed back headphones (traditional style over ear headphones.) You can buy the AKG K361 on Amazon for $100, and there is a Bluetooth version for these for $145.
If you want in ear earbuds, for wired, I recommend the Moondrop Aria. For wireless, the AKG N400 are also really good.
Of course, there are more options under $150, but these are my recommendations.

If your main usage of the headphones are to use at home only, it will be much better for you to get wired headphones instead of wireless. Not only because of battery, but also the fact that Bluetooth headphones will never sound as good as wired headphones. Since you mentioned the Momentum 3, I am guessing your budget is around $200. For that, you can either get the Sennheiser HD 560S if you want open-back, or Meze 99 Neo if you want closed back.

>I will be running these through my Denon 3700 AVR so I’m not sure what the impedance would need to be, but I was looking at these, but I’m not sure if I should instead go with the HD 599 as they are less than half the impedance.
When connecting to a receiver (high output impedance), high-impedance headphones are the way to go.

Sennheiser 560s is currently $155.83 on Amazon. I’m debating getting this or a 58X.

Assuming I have these correct, why are you considering the K317 when the rest are open backed? What’s the application?
Also, what are you currently using for headphones? That’s always a good thing to add for getting advice.
Of the other 3 and knowing you like extra bass, I HIGHLY recommend the Philips X2HRs. They are slightly bass heavy and give you supreme sound quality for the price. I have the X1 and X2HR and I use them mostly for studio production, casual listening, and gaming. They are super comfortable, sound great, The X2s improved upon the already great X1s. They are in 3rd place in cost and I believe you’d get the most enjoyment out of the 4 options you’ve proposed. Unless you are going bigger than $400, I would vote X2s.
Hope that helps!

Sennheiser HD 560 S is what I went with and absolutely no regrets.

The classics, especially if you have an amp: https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-sennheiser-hd6xx?utm_source=linkshare&referer=F6K9QB
These are some of the most popular headphones you can buy and an amazing introduction to audiophile sound.
If you want headphones that are extremely neutral and present the sound as clinically as possible check these out: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08J9MVB6W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_GYXQR60Q8D68B8Q6DWDE
They’re an extraordinary value for mixing or professional audio work. Or if you just like neutral headphones!
My vote is the 6xx though. They’re just too excellent to pass up.
