Boy, are you in for a surprise once the price of the Xbox Seagate proprietary SSD is announced.
You posted non-proprietary HDD. Which is about a third of the cost of what to expect with these SSD memory cards.
Expect these cards to be no less than $150 & more than likely closer to $250. $200 is a safe bet.
There’s already a potential comparable Xbox branded Seagate Externa 1TB SSD for the Xbox One X for $197.99 on Amazon.

Chances are the Series X proprietary SSD memory card will be comparable to this.

The one you saw is one of the current gen. Is still overpriced, and you can’t run next-gen games directly from that SSD.
I think this one is the one you saw? It works with the Series X but only for backward compatible games. You can store newer games but if you want to play them you would have to move them back to the internal drive.
And like I said, it’s way overpriced. You could get an external 1TB SSD for like $2,500 maybe less.

It’s not the proprietary card for the Series S/X but it is a MS Seagate SSD for the One, the manufacturers for the Series S/X cards.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HP98FW6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ivwxFbV91GGCD
This MS Seagate external 1TB typically sells for $199.99. Currently on sale for $179.99.
These new SSD cards for the Series S/X will be around $199.99 if not the rumored $219.99 price.

I don’t want to say that it is or isn’t like that because I don’t really know. We only know a few pieces of information on the drive: it’s Seagate, PCIe Gen 4, 2.4 GB/s, and 1 TB.
Are the Series X’s expansion drives DRAMless? If they are that could affect performance, especially as the drive fills up. Perhaps there is a cache built into the Series X that it uses for both the internal and external drive. How consistent is the read throughput. Does it need to max out it’s queue to reach 2.4 GB/s? Does this drive have its own controller or does it rely entirely on the built in controller and just act as a poola was storage? My point is that there is more to an SSD than one statistic.
Also, Seagate already sells another Xbox branded SSD. It’s significantly slower and $180 for 1TB. Don’t forget that branding is to add more profitability for everyone in line, which hurts consumers. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HP98FW6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_C.ewFbC60ZGHM

As mentioned in another post.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HP98FW6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_lKpfFbHBEBD9P
This will be SSD proprietary memory. It will be no less than $150 starting off. That’s best case scenario. I even gave a link to a Seagate Xbox branded SSD for Xbox One showing the price to be more in line with $200.

As additional info, the external ssd that was used in this test is the seagate Xbox one ssd 500GB game drive which is listed to have ‘read speeds of 540 MB/s’, which is just about entry level speeds for ssd’s, meaning that potentially you could have even faster transfer times higher speed 3rd party ssd’s depending on the USB speed limitations.
