But you really can’t go wrong as long as you get a Solid State Drive (SSD), it is at a minimum 240GB, and supports usb 3.0. If you get an internal SSD you need to by an adapter that supports usb 3.0. Anything smaller than 240GB and xbox won’t recognize the drive as game storage and won’t format it correctly to store games, it will only let you store music and movies and those types of files.

If u can afford it, just get a ssd. They’re basically the same cost per gb if not cheaper if you’re looking at 500gb and above, and most of these issues will be moot:
- Durable ones can easily withstand water, heat, and cold
- They can bounce around and survive many falls without losing data
- You can directly edit on them; they’re actually designed to have that feature
- Because of above point, you can leave it in all you want
- They tend to have much longer lifespans
- If you leave the cable that most have plugged into the ssd, you can yank it out of the computer as hard as you want and if it breaks buy a cheap new cable
- If you don’t safely eject, the chance of corruption is much lower
As a bonus, they’ll also be much faster than flash drives
