I’ll give the same XBOX tips I always give:
Buy a wireless mouse/keyboard combo: if you get the combo, they only take up one USB slot.
I really like the Thrustmaster T.flight HOTAS but new hardware is coming out soon from other 3rd parties. Most promising is the Turtle beach Velocity One. If has a yoke and throttle, which you’ll like if you want the Cessna experience, but I was surprised to find out how good a HOTAS feels regardless of what type of plane I’m flying. If you get a yoke and throttle, you’ll need a sturdy desk or table to clamp it to.
I put my HOTAS and mouse on this tray/desk so I can play comfortably on the couch: Laptop Bed Tray Desk, SAIJI… https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082YW2SZX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share ; I don’t think a yoke and throttle could work with something like this tray desk though.

The b2 button on top of the stick (where your thumb would go) works well for brakes.
I love this flight stick (I also have a series S) very happy with it.
The only problem I have is that, when I try to change the button assignments, it just doesn’t take. But, it doesn’t matter, because I’ve grown to like the default button assignments a lot.
I highly recommend buying a wireless mouse/keyboard combo. I also recommend buying one of those things people use to put their laptops on in bed and then put the HOTAS and mouse on it (Laptop Bed Tray Desk, SAIJI… https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082YW2SZX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share)

I have this “laptop bed tray table” that I adore. You can use it for more than just studying in bed though. I put it on top of my desk, too, so I don’t have to crane my neck. It’s big enough that I can have my laptop and textbook on it at the same time.
A lot of my classmates have book stands. I personally don’t, but some of them swear by them.
It’s way too early to do this yet, but when you do start classes, you should also consider finding out if your law library has online offerings of study aid books (such as High Court Case Summaries keyed to whichever text book you will use). Also, Quimbee. I know some schools offer free/discounted Quimbee accounts. Again, it is WAY too soon to look right now, but keep this in mind when you do start classes.

Did you consider just making the desk yourself? I made a 7’ x 3’ desk for my gear out of 2x4s and MDF for about $50 in materials. I wanted it to fill up every last inch of my room and knew I’d never find something the exact specs or depth that I wanted.
I made it with a detachable leaf that I eventually took off.
My monitor is mounted on the wall via an Ergotron arm, and can be raised to standing height. I have a folding desktop that I can put on my regular desktop to use it like a standing desk. This was around $30 with the coupon applied.

4800H would be her best option. they are designed for use in a laptop. Run far cooler than the 3700X and will provide a better end user experience.
