Very normal. There are some nice waterproof mattress pads that can help with cleanup.

It sounds like a control thing with your mom, as you’ve offered to clean the sheets, etc. Her control issues might be related to why you wet your bed for so long. No joke. It’s all you know so it doesn’t feel abusive, but it is definitely a quiet form of abuse.
Does she have trouble with you “growing up?” Is she controlling in other aspects of your life?
Instead of having to wear a pull-up, get some sort of waterproof mattress pad and take off the pull-up after she walks out of the room. Get used to sleeping without it. Once you’ve done that, let her know you’ve been sleeping without them and that you won’t be wearing them anymore.
If she tries to force you to wear them, you may have to say this is “Mom, I love you, but you need to let this go. If you keep on forcing me to wear these pull-ups, it’ll really damage our relationship. I’m embarrassed I have to wear them and I’m starting to resent you for making me wear them”
