If you’re concerned about keyfeel, may want to look into some budget mechanical keyboards. I bought an RK71 for $40 as a bluetooth wireless mechanical keyboard. Other boards like the TKL02 and RK987 are great too and cost $35 and $40 respectively. If you’re looking for a TKL

After some resistance, I fell down the mech kb rabbit hole just this year and thiings escalated quicker than I thought with the following keyboards:

  1. Royal Kludge RK71 – chose for form factor and five device bluetooth support
  2. Drevo Calibur V2 TE – bought used and cheap to harvest the PCB since I tinkered with and ruined the RK71 PCB lol. Resoldered with lubed Gateron Milky Yellows, added foam. Realized I liked this hobby, wanted to try more
  3. BM60 EC (pictured above) – first custom, specifically wanted a smaller keyboard that had a rotary dial and arrow keys under $200 Canadian for the whole thing. This was the only option around $190 (kit included switches I lubed, added key caps and screw-in stabs)
  4. Ikki68 Aurora x PnC and matching GMK PnC Peachy Keen keycaps – first group buys. More of an impulse, might not keep it when delivered next year
  5. SKErgo Through Hole Kit – wanted to try an ergo layout without breaking the bank with an Alice or similar clone. I figure my wrists will thank me
  6. Stopped for now after realizing I’m too caught up in the hype and actually happy with the my current/incoming kits

If this post was the tipping point into the hobby, then welcome! I’m new in the mech kb space too, but do your research and have fun!
