Depending on your keyboard size there are low profile alumnium and plastic cases on kbdfans, aliexpress, etc

As for a low profile keyboard (one where you can see the switches under the keycaps), you have gmmk keyboards, massdrop keyboards, tecware phantom, red dragon

I would avoid Corsair, Logitech, and Razer. They all have reputations for cheaply made, overpriced keyboards Maybe consider this instead – it’s a fullsize, not sure if you wanted that, but it’s using the new half-height low-pro Cherry switches (seriously, I didn’t even realize boards were being made with them already) in a red, linear variety that should be fairly quiet.

I need a mechanical rgb keyboard with red switches, I want to use it for gaming and overall use. (don’t know if I should take low profile or not it would be my first mechanical keyboard) I want a good quality / price keyboard since I don’t have tons of money to put on it (around 50-60$)

So yeah I did my own search and found out that Redragon got “good” ? Keyboards for low prices but I’m a bit scared by the quality.. I don’t want my keyboard to break in a few days or weeks.. Are these keyboards good ? I saw some bad reviews on Amazon.. Do you have better options for me ? I was interrested by the Redragon K589 SHRAPNEL but there’s a lot of bad reviews so I looked a bit more and found the Redragon K582 SURARA which has less bad reviews but I’m still unsure.. The only difference I saw is that the Shrapnel is low profile and the Surara is classic.

Hello all, I’m a total mechanical keyboard novice and need a bit of advice.

Recently I’ve been thinking on changing my keyboard at home since at work I mainly use one of those super thin Apple keyboards on an iMac. I’ve gotten too used to its low, slim keys and makes my old Alienware keyboard at home feel humongous, so now I wanna upgrade to something more comfortable.

My main checkboxes are: Full size, silent, low profile and good for both games and typing. The more silent the better, because my apartment is fairly small and the gf is a bit of a light sleeper. Also preferably under $100.

Based on that criteria I found this Redragon K589 on Amazon:

It seems to fit my needs, but I wanted to hear some opinions and if maybe there’s a better alternative that hits my needs. Any advice appreciated!
