I know it’s not true mechanical, which really sucks. But I got it for the cohesiveness of the LED lighting and the really comfortable wrist pad due to some wrist issues I have.

That thing is tiny! I actually purchased a keyboard already though. I like the idea of mechanical, I just need it to be quieter. Hopefully this is a solid compromise! Thanks for the recommendation though. I think having a keyboard like the Qisan would be pretty cool though. Small and what not. I would just miss the num pad lol

Ah ok. I actually found the Razer Ornata. I saw it a while ago but was fine with my current keyboard.
I like the Chroma aspect of it and I think it’s a good middle ground. A lot of people seem to enjoy it.

It’s currently out of stock, but for someone who has never really owned a mechanical keyboard, would this hybrid be a good jump? I already have a Razer Deathadder Essential, so the transition into Razer Synapse would be seamless. I’ve used my roommate’s reddragon mechanical keyboard and enjoy it. Is the mecha-membrane that different?

I enjoy my Razer. I understand the hate, but I thoroughly enjoy mine. I have the Razer Oranata Mecha-Membrance Chroma although my boyfriend ordered the Razer Ornata Mecha-Membrane Expert from Amazon…. (Thanks Amazon – I wanted the Chroma over the Expert anyway. :X Merry Christmas to me!)
It’s a very comfortable keyboard. I play a lot of FPS or open work games and never have issues of keys not responding. My boyfriend is not use to how clicky it is, so he complains a little about the sound but… I’m very happy with it. Only had 1 issue – which was my own fault! (I was playing with functions and made my A key a macro on accident for… who knows what!) I also have this Razer mouse he also got me.

these are overpriced. For example, the Ornata sells shipped from amazon warehouse for less in various conditions. Most expensive (like new) is 53 which I assume will still be cheaper considering shipping’s free.

For the most bang for your buck id recommend buying used on Amazon warehouse you can pick up a high quality keyboard for little money.

My preferred MMO setup is the Razer Ornata Chroma Keyboard and Razer Naga Trinity Mouse, both of which are 30% off on Amazon at the moment.
I really like the mecha-membrane switches and with the 12 button setup on the mouse you can hotkey the buttons to Num 1-9 (plus your typical M4, M5, and a third button/key of choice) and gain a massive amount of keys/abilities you can access with just your thumb.

Theres a lot of different kinds but this is generally considered the best decent keyboard at the lowest price point. High quality membrane switches, good rgb lighting, and great build quality.
Above 200$ and you get diminishing returns, below 100$ and you get low quality. The Razer Ornata Chroma is the one you want.
