I play on keyboard. I’ve always played Street Fighter on stick, but with the simpler input scheme in RT, I’ve found keyboard to be so much more precise and I love it.

This is what I have:

Basically, my point is that the person was able to tell from the corner what the keyboard was, and then used pre-existing knowledge to determine whether it was good or not. I honestly did not recognize the keyboard as I’m not an expert in them (I use a cheap Steel Series keyboard), but the OP did mention that it’s a razer black widow.

Looking that up on amazon, I can match it to this:

Apparently the other guy has used them before or at least read up on them and was able to make his decision based on that. My point is you don’t need to see an entire product to determine what it is. Here’s a simple example that you might agree with:

Without looking at the title in the link, tell me what company makes this product and tell me what this product is called (general model; that is, if it’s a Ford Mustang GT-R, “it’s a mustang” is good enough for me).

I think you can probably tell me what it is.

Depends on how much you want to spend on a keyboard.

I’ve had about five Logitech G15 keyboards (I went through them like nothing and the “paint” they use on the keys would always rub off) and while it is a nice keyboard once you go mechanical you will never go back to a mushy membrane keyboard. I currently use a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate (It’s been holding up pretty well except I’ve had some problems with my space bar being a bit.. off and other keys stick down sometimes when I press too fast but this has gotten better with useage). There are plenty of choices out there now for mechanical keyboards and they are pricey but they will last! Oh and like Trizin said they ARE clicky and louder, they annoy others when you use them but you can now buy the “stealth” editions of the BlackWidow keyboards which aren’t clicky! yay!

Here is a little learning on mechanical keyboard and switch types:
http://www.overclock.net/t/491752/mechanical-keyboard-guide

After owning a BlackWidow Ultimate I would honestly have to say I would give the Corsair K90 a solid try. I’m a HUGE fan of Corsair products (I have the SP2500 speaker system and it’s AMAZING) and they have a two year warranty over the BlackWidows one year. I’ve never been a fan of the Razer warranty, even in warranty for my Razer mice when the feet wear off they call it “normal wear and tear” and tell me I can buy a 10 dollar kit which is garbage. Corsair only supplied the SP2500 with six foot cables for the speakers and when I needed a longer length I contacted them and they sent them to me, free of charge. Same thing with my power supply, I lost the “bag” of modular power cables and they sent me a new one with all kinds of Corsair swag included with it all free. Now if they would only make left handed gaming mice I could stop using Razer and their AWFUL drivers! (That being said the drivers for the BlackWidow ultimate aren’t bad, for once) I wish you the best of luck and I hope this helps!

You could also consider buying him a keyboard. The Blackwidow is a very nice mechanical keyboard for only $70, which is a pretty good deal. Mechanical keyboards are those clicky ones which are very fun to type on.

The Razer Black widow is a good keyboard. It is my first mechanical keyboard and I can tell you that I will not be going back to membrane

This Razer keyboard is $70 and it seems to be what your looking for.

The Ultimate edition has backlit keys but will cost you around $110.

If your looking for a decent keyboard with backlit keys, expect to be paying more then $50.
