Once you been doing it for awhile and made a little money and want to reinvest, I highly recommend a garment steamer. It really “freshens” up thrift stuff and gets rid of “thrift store” smell. After I go thrift and come home and steam it all. Takes 3-5 minutes per piece. I’ll leave it on hangers till I have time to photograph. I’ll paste a link to the one I got. I started in July last year but didnt get a steamer till late October but I’m so thankful I did. My items look amazing and smell very clean. In the future if you decide to get one just remember to use distilled water because hardwater like tap causes build up in the steamer much like a coffee pot. You can get a 2 gallon jug of for $1, but it’ll make you’ll steamer last for years and years.

I like my steamer a lot so far, bought it back in September ’18. I’d recommend that whatever steamer you do buy keep the head covered when not it use to prevent dust particles getting into the steam holes, I keep a fabric cloth on mine . And always use distilled water, it’ll prevent mineral and salt buildup which causes corrosion. You can buy a 2 gallon jug at Walmart for $1. I keep a couple in my pantry for my steamer and humidifier.

Overall though very happy. Having used it for months now, I’d never go back to a handheld iron. The steamer really freshens up the clothes and gets rid of any “thrift store” smells. I know some people even put a cap full of white vinegar in their machines (it wont hurt it), to aide in the cleaning process. It’s a good investment.

I have this garment rack but wouldnt recommend it as the wheels arent smooth at all.

I thinking about upgrading to this rack in the future. Good reviews and reportedly can hold up to 400 lbs.
