> keep neck clean

Any advice on how to do this? also a beginner to growing a beard! It’s been 3 weeks for me. The neck is looking unkempt, with hair curling up. I frequently comb the beard (it’s become a hobby), and it’s been itching often.

I have a norelco with trimmer guards and also just acquired this which also has a header guard. Would appreciate any advice.

I got this jawn on Amazon for $17 during one of their flash deals (somebody on this sub linked it actually!). I’m really happy with it. I have yet to recharge it and I’ve been using it for quick trims since like September. I don’t have any semblance of an actual beard so I’ve been using it for light facial hair trims mostly (I will admit I also use it to trim my armpit hair and pubes. lol). Plus, I’m a bit of a sucker for aesthetics and it looks real good on a shelf if you have one in your bathroom.

I bought this and it’s pretty good. I use it without the attachments and it cuts really close.

I have this and I really like it. I’ve used it on my hairline, face, body, and pubic hair. It doesn’t get super smooth, but it also doesn’t cause irritation (at last it doesn’t for me). This is just if you want to cut the hair short, not if you want to remove it completely. Typically I’ll use this first to get the hairs short and then I’ll shave either with an electric razor or shaving cream and a double edge razor.

I just use a body hair trimmer without the guard. It leaves a bit of hair, but not much length at all. Unlike when I used to shave, it does not cause me to get irritation or ingrown hairs. It can be difficult to get the hair that’s back though. Making sure to hold the skin tight and as flat as possible helps.

I use the same trimmer to square my sideburns and fix parts of my hairline.

I recommend this one and it’s actually on sale for the next few hours:

I need an electric razor badly- my barber just raised his prices, my stipend was cut in half, and I’m feeling either creative or really masochistic. I like this one, and would post photos at your own risk. It would be terrifying, no doubt. 😉

this is not so much profile help as it is help with your look.

Your first pic is great, except that your neck looks untidy. Your third pic looks interesting (I got curious as to what you’re doing) but again the neck looks untidy.

Also took a look at your second pic, and I think a stubble will suit you, invest in a trimmer with guards (this is the one I have) and use it to keep your facial hair neat. The trimmer comes with guards of different lengths (1.5mm, 3mm, 6mm), pick a certain setting and keep your beard clean.

About the glasses, I don’t think they suit you, as your first picture also shows. I’d recommend getting contact lenses, or getting a more stylish pair, like these.

http://www.mybeautybunny.com/cruelty-free-razors-vegan/ – a blog post on the topic

Also, I highly recommend the electric razor TRYM II for shaving, as it’s relatively inexpensive and rather awesome: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FMB4864

The company (“Pure Enrichment”) isn’t explicitly vegan but doesn’t make non-tech products (they make like… vaporizers, electric razors, mirrors), so it’s unlikely they do any animal testing. If you’d like to ask them for details: http://pureenrichment.com/contact-us/
