Do you have a personal computer you can configure stuff on? If so you can use something like this and set up the shortcut on your personal computer and then it should just function as a normal keyboard when you plug it into your work computer.
If you’re interested in DIY stuff and have some basic skills you can get a QMK programmable keyboard, search around for one that suits you, there are definitely some one key layouts floating around. I have a gherkin that I use as a macro board, it’s a 30 key DIY kit that cost me ~$15-20 plus a bit of time to assemble but it was very easy and I have different layers for shortcuts based the programs I use most. The corner key is always mapped to a system wide mute, so it’s always easy to find.
