Not the person you replied to but cold brew is actually the most forgiving brewing technique. Some people claim they use a sock and a mason jar; while I’ve never tried that, I purchased the following:

A good grinder also helps but isn’t nearly as important as with all other brewing types. Same with the freshness of the beans. Fresh is always better but makes the least amount of difference with cold brew. 🙂
