It would be worth checking out Brian Mackenzie’s book, Power Speed Endurance. It is written with CrossFit in mind and will give you a lot of good info and a solid template on how to incorporate both running and CrossFit together.

I started doing Crossfit/functional fitness along with martial arts. Our black belt tests were 4+ hours long, so definitely endurance heavy.

Brian McKenzie’s book, Power Speed Endurance is a solid reference for mixing Crossfit and endurance based training. There’s a 12 week template plan in there as well as individual endurance WODs based on sport. This is what I suggest to anyone trying to mix both.
