I have the TSI100 which I went with for my 2.1 setup over the ones you listed

even with a 2.1 setup these speakers sometimes trick me into hearing things behind me (e.g cars, talking, water) when the there is nothing there

You can give these a look: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00192KF12/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I paired those up with the PSW10 Sub and Sony STR-DN1040 and they are great for my room. I can’t wait to upgrade to floor standing TSX model when I get my next house.

Okay great. Yeah, im going to put both speakers in a back corner. Literally and then one on my desk.

So you wouldnt recommend getting a higher quality bookshelf speakers for the rears? Say the Polk TSi100 or a pair of Klipsch? Or are more expensive rears not even noticeable?

Hello I have a POLK PSW10 Subwoofer, along with two Polk TSI100 bookshelf speakers. I was told I would need an amp to power this system, so I was needing help figuring out what amp I should purchase. I do not have much money to spend ~ $100.

I am new to the home theater/audio hobby. I am looking to start simple with my new HT setup. I have a receiver, but am looking for new speakers. Can I start with just a front left/right? Are these viable options?

or

Any insight would be much appreciated!

Thanks.
