Yes the BOOM has a tad better bass but let’s be honest these are tiny bluetooth speakers, no one is shaking anything with these.

It can regularly be seen for under $30 on prime deals, etc.

I bought a Photive Hydra in 2014 as a budget waterproof speaker. It costs $30.

It sounds better than my Home Mini, is portable, and is waterproof. I also have a variety of other Bluetooth speakers that are better, and they all have the disadvantage of being Bluetooth.

I mostly listen to headphone, I don’t drive far enough for work to worry aobut it in the car. But sometimes at home, I use a Bluetooth speaker. This one in fact.

I’ll take that in the shower with me, or anywhere else in the house. It’s good outside too.

Yes they do. I bought [this speaker] and it broke to my disamay. It’s achilles ankle was that it was dropped with the aux plugged in, so when it landed it snapped from the inside. I have been trying to fix it ever since. In today. It’s great and louder than my friend’s beats pill for sure. For the price you can’t beat it

Last Christmas I was gifted Photive’s Hydra speaker and I still use it everyday. Blutooth capable so you can bring it in the shower, though I place it right outside the shower curtains since it can get wet.

It’s shockproof too, which is nice since I usually catch around half the things I drop.

I got a Photive Hydra a few weeks ago and I use it in my canoe almost every day. It is small, very sturdy, and waterproof. I like to stream music using bluetooth from my mobile device in a dry bag. The sound is not huge but I find it perfect for the canoe.

I bought this one for camping / outdoors, I think it sounds decently better than my alarm clock…

I haven’t put it through any paces looking for specific albums and comparing it to my regular home stereo, but for the size, the power and quality seem great in a regular sized room.

I got this thing recently. I had been eyeing speakers for awhile and caught this on sale. Ive had it for around 2 months now. I haven’t done anything crazy with it but I’ve definitely dropped it dozens of times. And it is LOUD. I remember when the beats speakers first came out and being impressed, this thing sounds better.

It doesn’t have a place to attach it to anything. So I rigged this up real quick based on a picture I saw in the reviews. It spends most of its time hanging in my garage. I’ve barely had to take it down to charge, pretty sure the battery life is around 8 hours?

For $30 bucks on sale I’m pretty happy.
