In addition to the space heater, consider getting this special alarm clock that simulates a sunrise. Tricking my body into thinking it’s daylight out has been a HUGE help in getting myself up.

Update: I purchased this clock last night and COULD NOT FALL ASLEEP after purchasing because I think I’m just too excited? It doesn’t get to me until Sunday so I’ll update how it goes. I sprung for the radio one because I have a morning radio show I like listening to in the car and figured it would help me get moving, but the cheaper one with just a few sounds is about $45.

I have one—definitely worth it; I find myself waking up as soon as the light starts coming on and it feels like a nice gradual and natural wake up. Occasionally it’ll get to the bird chirps for me. Bonus feature jt also doesn’t wake up the household with loud blaring; which is nice given my odd schedule vs my family.

I bought mine on Amazon—Philips brand has a few options from $69.96 as an entry price point. I have this one which is $99 and does the trick. The coloured simulation of the higher price point ones is nice; but I don’t need a dusk feature and extra colours to simulate a more real sunrise when the $99 one works.

I’m not sure what the difference is between the lights, but I have this related one and it works really well for me and is significantly cheaper. Still not cheap, but cheaper.

Got my sister a philips wake up light she took off to Europe the next day so I have no idea how well it works.

Or plan B. Keep red bull beside your bed

I have an older version of the Philips Wake-Up clock.

According to Amazon, I bought it December 2011, so that’s seven years of good mornings now. 🙂

The Philips Wake Up light with dawn simulator alarm clock is nice. The light doesn’t really wake me up but my husband loves it. It might work for you.

There’s many models but here are some links:
