This one is incredible. You can adjust it 1mm to 10mm in 0.5 increments PLUS it has a vacuum that gets most of the hairs!

The blade was recessed so that it is impossible to cut oneself. It is not merely a vibrating blade but a recessed blade that uses the “teeth” to pull the hair back into the blade. It looked a lot like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0199RDFA6?psc=1

Get a stubble trimmer and trim every morning to 0.5mm or 1mm. You will look a billion times better. It’s a good compromise between baby face/no jawline and a full beard, and it works with patchy beards too.
I use this one because it has a vacuum and makes post-shave sink clean-up a breeze. There are cheaper ones like this or this. I like having the built-in adjustable guide instead of having to change the guide.

Been using this Philips for a year and love it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0199RDFA6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_duSCzbW46MYQJ
Goes from 0 to 10mm in half increments, has a vacuum that’s pretty great about catching loose hair, and lasts a while on a charge.

I don’t know what Shaver you’re using but I highly recommend one like this

I have the Norelco 7200 here. Unfortunately, it isn’t shower proof. The Norelco 9100 here is waterproof, though I don’t think it’s designed for being run in a shower, and starts at a 0.4mm minimum and goes up by 0.2mm increments.
I bought the 7200 and outgrew it. My beard is about 1 1/4 inches, which is the length I’m wanting, and now I need to look into clippers with a guard for an even cut.
