I can’t find the link to the one I have, it was a hand me down, but I found one really similar! Ovente Glass electric kettle, but from what I understand it’s only one color. /:

A wondorus contraption that can boil a liter of water in a couple minutes. If you drink a lot of tea, eat a lot of ramen, or do a lot of general cooking you will wonder how you ever lived without one.

It’s amazing how handy boiling water is. The best thing I ever used mine for was replacing linoleum. Boiling water turned out to be the best way to remove dried glue from concrete.

The ones in the UK use more power and boil even faster.

I have this kettle from Amazon that lights up blue when you turn it on, and it shuts itself off automatically when it’s done boiling. It doesn’t have a thermometer, but I usually turn it off before it boils so it doesn’t burn my tea. I’m easily entertained lol.

So this is the kettle I paid for: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DEPGY7G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And this is the kettle that I got for free along with the one I paid for: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CXMO01I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You know, I opened up the Ovente one and started using it because I am going to contact Amazon tomorrow to see if they want the Hamilton Beach one that I got for free back. I’m sort of hoping they just let me keep it so I can have a backup, because my old crummy one just fizzled out on me.

Used the Ovente one once so far to heat up water. It took about the normal amount of time. But I enjoyed its nice blue ambiance, and it is a hell of a lot quieter than the one I originally had. One thing I will say is that I don’t think it shuts off automatically because I let it keep boiling for quite a while before I finally intercepted it to steep some tea. It took just a few minutes to get to boil.

I think the Hamilton Beach one has an auto-turn off feature, but ultimately it’s not a big deal if you can remember that you were making tea.

edit: The amazon page for the Ovente model apparently also claims it does auto-shut off. I can’t say for certain. Maybe I didn’t let it sit on long enough? I don’t know.

I have two, this Ovente was my first and frankly favorite as it pours very well. My aunt has the same one, we’ve both had them for 7+ years and they’re still going strong. For $22ish I’d buy it again. One thing, don’t leave water in it. Mine is fine (I have a reverse osmosis filter at my house), my aunt’s (she uses crap tap water) is starting to look rusty and have build-up on the bottom.

My other kettle, very similar to this one (mine’s no longer on Amazon) is actually kind of annoying. On this style the latch on the lid is extremely annoying (you have to remember to latch it before boiling, or when you pour it’ll go everywhere). If you make a lot of different teas, then the temp controls are nice but I rarely use them.

Do not leave water sitting in them! You don’t need to dry them, but standing water will begin to mess up the stainless steel.

I got this one. It’s pretty basic, but it works well enough.
